Concorde Platinum Temperature Sensor with Certificate

This item contains an estimated 15-10gms of platinum ($150-$200) so it’s price reflects the inherent value of the material as well as it’s collectable appeal. It is 10cm in length. It has Concorde part number: 66.799.380.21. This is an engine temperature sensor. It comes with detailed original equipment labels which indicate it was declared defective on 16th September 1974 due to ‘intermittent readings’ and should not be fitted back onto the aircraft.

These sensors are highly valued due to their aesthetic appeal and high precious metal content as well as their important role in the Concorde engines. This would make an excellent mounted item with the original equipment certificates framed.
