An original British Airways Concorde onboard safety card — the sought-after first issue, marked “CONCORDE F 393 (1st)” and printed in England by Transart Inplastor Ltd. Headed “Safety Instructions — Please study and leave on the aircraft”.
Double-sided and laminated, it’s a superb example of the bold, comic-strip artwork BA used for its Concorde cards — flat primary colours and Ben-Day dot shading. One side illustrates the drop-down oxygen masks, the brace position and life-jacket donning; the reverse shows the over-wing and door exits (marked A and B), escape slides and life-raft evacuation. As the first-issue card, it’s the earliest and least common of the BA Concorde series, appearing far less often than the 1990s re-issues.
In good condition for its age. Bright, complete and fully legible. The third photo shows a tear/cut which has been covered with cellotape. The fourth photo shows some disfiguring to the shape of the card. These are damages that must be inspected and are reflected in the reduced price. Some other light scratches and scuffs consistent with in-cabin use.
