The team at Concordecollectables.com visited G-AXDN at the Imperial War Museum Duxford to hand over some vital ‘Droop Nose’ mechanical parts.
We are pleased to have been able to provide two ‘Droop Nose Uplock Jacks’ and one ‘Droop Nose Hook’ to Heritage Concorde, an ex-Concorde engineer based group committed to Concorde restoration and preservation across the UK. These parts are crucial to ensuring that various Concorde aircraft in the UK can continue to show off their iconic ‘Droop Nose’ in operation safely and reliably.
The following Concorde aircraft in the UK are able to lower their nose thanks to the efforts of the Heritage Concorde team:
G-AXDN at Imperial War Museum Duxford
G-BBDG at Brooklands Museum: Aviation & Motoring Museum
G-BOAC at Manchester Runway Visitor Park
G-BOAF at Aerospace Bristol
Please visit the respective museum websites to find out more about their ‘Droop Nose’ schedules.
