TCA & Temperature Indicator

A production Concorde Turbine Cooling Air Temperature (TCA) and Fuel Temperature Indicator manufactured by Smiths Industries. One of four secondary engine indicators found on the flight engineers panel. This gauge would monitor the temperature of the cooling air once it has passed the High Pressure Stage of the Olympus 593 engines, as well as the temperature of the fuel at the fuel burner manifold. When the red bulb was lit, a high temperature exists in the turbine cooling air system. When the yellow amber is lit, a high fuel temperature exists at the fuel burner manifold.

A vital secondary engine instrument for the flight engineer. A great display piece as well as a bit of aviation history that will appeal to collectors and investors alike. This indicator still retains it’s original label from the British Airways Dovebid auction in 2004. It’s condition and faded face suggests that this gauge has flown supersonic.
