Concorde Fuel Consumption Kg/hr Dial

This Concorde Flowrate Indicator has a date showing it was overhauled in January 1974. The original manufacturing date is August 1970. The dates combined with the item coming from a sale by BAC/BAE in 1979 indicates it was most likely used on either the build of G-AXDN now at Duxford which made it’s maiden flight on 17/12/1971 or as a replacement on 001 G-BSST during the prototype trials.

In good overall condition with the pin connectors protected by the original yellow caps, it has some cosmetic damage to the paintwork on the dial fascia which could be easily repaired and some very slight misting to the inside of the glass which could be fixed with some basic disassembly of the case. The sale price discount takes into account the cosmetic condition.

This item was part of the ‘Flambards Collection’ of items acquired from BAC / BAE at the closure of the test programme and this item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity hand-signed by Commander Douglas Kingsford-Hale MBE – founder of Cornwall Aero Park – later known as Flambards.
