Artificial Horizon or ADI (Attitude Display Indicator)

The Artificial Horizon Dial (or to give it it’s technical name) the Attitude Display Indicator (ADI) is the most prominent display on the Concorde instrument panel. This example is from the test programme and was likely fitted to the British prototype, G-BSST, or the British pre-production aircraft, G-AXDN. It was mounted on the large flight engineer monitoring panel on these test aircraft (see positioning photos).

This indicator was released by BAC at the end of the Concorde Test Programme and came into our archive with other ‘test-era’ instruments. This piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

To our knowledge, only one other example of this particular indicator has been sold in France in 2014. Please find the link here:
